Specifications and Indicators

Specifications (approved list of technical requirements) standardize the methodology for the analysis of the indicators that provide the measurement of the sustainability of the production chain wineyard-wine.

INDICATOR TERRITORY

In the general panorama of Italian agriculture, landscape drawn by the cultivation of vines is of fundamental importance and it is already subject to protection. Examples are the Prosecco area in the Trevigiano, Collio and Colli Orientali in Friuli or, even as in the case of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato recognized as a world heritage site.

FOCAL POINT: Matteo Malorgio

This indicator was created to take into account the landscape as well as the social and economic aspects within the sustainability assessment. To this end, a set of qualitative and quantitative indicators was developed capable of measuring the effects on the territory of the actions undertaken by the companies. The areas of analysis are biodiversity, landscape, society and the community, with reference also to the economic effects on the territory and on the local community.
