COURSES
VIVA
SUSTAINABILITY OPERATORS
VIVA-Sustainability in the Italian wine sector promotes sustainability in the wine sector also thanks to specialized courses, which represent an important moment of meeting and comparison. The courses, aimed at consultants, company technicians, verification bodies and professionals in the wine sector, aim to provide the knowledge necessary to evaluate the sustainability performance of the wine sector through the in-depth study of specific regulations and the use of VIVA web application.
The courses, free, are held, starting from the first of September 2015 on the occasion of the Milan Expo, every six months and for a maximum number of 30 people, in order to devote due attention to the needs of each individual participant. The structure of the course is modular and includes theory lessons and practical exercises, held by experts and university teachers, in which the main aspects of the four indicators of the VIVA national program will be addressed – AIR, WATER, VINEYARD, TERRITORY – through specific case studies to understand practically all the phases that lead to obtaining the VIVA sustainability certification.
Students who are eligible will obtain a certificate of attendance and the possibility of being included in the list of VIVA consultants available to companies wishing to join the Program and obtain VIVA certification. VIVA training courses contribute not only to the transfer of know-how to companies but also to the creation of new job opportunities within “green jobs”. As part of the VIVA courses, important collaborations were born between the participants which led to the creation of a network of consultants present throughout the country.

TRAINING
VIVA ONLINE
The online training is aimed at the staff of wineries, consultants, auditors of audit bodies and all those who want to understand and deepen the sustainability theme, its fundamental principles and in particular the aspects linked to the wine sector. The main goal of the online training is to facilitate the learning of the use of the software for the analysis of the 4 VIVA indicators: AIR, WATER, VINEYARD and TERRITORY, fundamental to measure and improve the sustainability performance of companies and products. In fact, sustainability is not only a very fashionable word nowadays, an abstract concept, but it is something concrete that we can measure and then embark on a path of improvement. The lessons are taught by teachers and professionals who have contributed to the development and dissemination of the VIVA program for years and at the end of each lesson will be available a test to measure their learning degree. For those who will follow the whole course and will successfully take the learning assessment tests, it is possible to obtain a certificate of attendance.
