On the occasion of the 54th edition of Vinitaly, the VIVA Program promoted by the Ministry of Ecological Transition was the focus of several meetings and interesting discussions with companies that have chosen VIVA, believing in the importance of measurement and commitment to continuous improvement of their sustainability performance.

Ettore Capri, full professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and scientific coordinator of the VIVA Program, following a busy agenda, touched with his own hands and heard from the voices of the producers the satisfaction for the important results achieved. During the meetings, the VIVA label was symbolically handed over, proudly displayed by the producers inside their stands to give visibility and concreteness to the path of sustainability they have undertaken.

The first to receive the VIVA labels were Sicilian companies-Solsicano, Cantine Cusumano, Donna Fugata and Colomba Bianca-to celebrate together the increasing sharing of the Sostain Program, the first territorial program to use VIVA indicators to measure the sustainability performance of Sicilian companies. In the early hours of the afternoon, the VIVA group continued its journey from North to South along the boot, from Veneto, at the Azienda Cielo e Terra (Colli Berici) enthusiastic new adherent of the VIVA Program to Campania, specifically in the province of Avellino, at Mastroberardino, one of Italy’s oldest wine companies, a pioneer in sustainability who believed in VIVA from the very beginning, moving on to the Marche region, to Macerata, at the small winery Podere Sabbioni, an example of passion and excellence, so much so that it was selected to be part of the new Micro Mega Wines space conceived by Ian d’Agata; where the importance of VIVA as a point of reference and support for Italian companies for an increasingly sustainable future was discussed.
